Long before the Toy Story web site was launched and WAY before the movie opened in theaters, this proposal was sumitted to Disney to sell them on the many new, interactive marketing options available to supplement their traditional methods.

Using the Etch-A-Sketch TM -- a toy featured prominently in the movie -- as the design metaphor, this interactive kit played upon the juxtaposition between Woody (representing the traditional methods) and Buzz (representing the "new media" tools). It outlined the proposed use of kiosks, a CD-ROM press kit and a floppy disk kit and included statistics on these tools and a brief bio section. (Ironically, a web site was not part of this proposal since, at that time, Disney had planned to develop the site in-house.) Eventually, the Toy Story Web Site project was awarded to Bonifer/Bogner in conjunction with 2-Lane Media (of which I was then associated) and Canto-5.
