![]() Development Role: The challenge of this project was to convey the feel of the full, three CD-ROM adventure game, "Panic in the Park," on a single floppy disk. Winner of numerous major awards, this interactive kit features in exploratory interface using the amusement park itself as the metaphor. Along the way, users encounter a fortune teller who dispenses advice based on questions asked, bio and informational sections and screen shots from the actual game. The highlight of the kit is the Dart Toss which simulates the actual CD-ROM game (be sure to pick up any coins you find along the way in order to play!) If users pop the balloon containing the deed to the park, a secret code is revealed which could then be used to enter WarnerActive's online contest.
This IPK was placed on the WarnerActive web site and downloaded over 100,000 times. According to company representatives, it was highly successful in helping to sell the CD-ROM game.
